ACU & XIN TIAN DI

Today, got a news from ACU that they will have a storewide massive clearance sale, so what and why I was waiting for??

Met up with my friend at my place and we went there by taxi.
Now 30 – 50% off for every items, yes every single one such as Originals Fake, CLOT, Whiz, Visvim (how nice 40-50% discount for Visvim and 30-50% for CLOT!!!). Wonder why they having such crazy sale??
Becuz ACU is going to close down, means no more ACU and Juice will be open instead.
Good news?

When we got there, many people inside the store already. They bought a lot of things, were those guys resellers?? By the way while we were choosing some discounted items, Iven, ACU manager just arrived to the shop so I had a chat with him for a while. We just knew each others from the previous night at adidas 6009 party. Nice to see him and a little while later I saw Kevin Poon popped in the store too.

Before we had left, people still kept coming to the store like no ending.

After ACU, went to the nearby spot called Xintiandi, it is kinda trendy place for chilling out and shopping. It is some kind of tourist attraction I think. There are many many nice cafes, restaurants, and boutiques here also a big shopping mall in this district.

This very charming 2 square block place was a row of brick building in the old times, now it was renovated to be an entertainment area.

After walked for a while, my friend took me to a hip ice cream shop called Cold Stone in front of the shopping mall. I reckon any girls who love sweet things should love this too.

Then visited Gloss cuz I wanted to see New Balance MTG580 Gore-tex and was told by Kevin that Gloss already had it, but only purple pair there, I prefer yellow…
Not too long another group of people coming, they are my friend’s friend to have dinner together.
After we had finished, I asked them for leave, cuz so feeling bored of walking.

Also got this wooden shoe horn from ACU

AT THE PARTY

Ni hao!
Left my place to the venue around 9.20 pm and the weather was around 9 degree and a little raining. It was really cold, I cant explain how cold it was, I dont like cold weather. However it couldnt stop me to cancel to the party. I had been waiting for it!

Took almost 50 mins to get to the venue, quite far from my place. The party was located, i think, in front of Shanghai Science and Technology Museum, not sure, cuz it was really really dark.

Couldnt spot where the exactly location but once I got off the train I was hearing a very loud party sound so I traced from where music was from.

From the top view, I saw 3 very big domes that they built up on the empty court and there were super huge size of 5 adidas iconic shoes at the front of the entry as well as many many people waiting to get in.

Then I went to VIP area to see Alvin inside the dome and of cuz, lot of key and influent people inside the area like KZK my really good chance to meet him again, Sean from ACU guy who is former CT crew (thank to P’ Jeed a lot for helping me got to know him!), DJ Tommy, Ken, Kevin Poon from Clot, Sam Lee from Subcrew, a regional person from DIESEL jeans, and some adidas China team.

The party was so damn good, all the fashion show for Spring/Summer 09 like ObyO, Vespa, Women, 60 years (same you saw in BKK house party) were wise arranged and managed very well, the models appearance (especially the girls, all very pretty and pretty), their post and dance, and music, all really good and fun. It made all the guests felt of true house party.

Then time for N.A.S.A. after that DJ Tommy on the deck until the party ended, it was around 2.00 am.

This afternoon, went to meet Alvin at adidas China office to pick up 2 things,

First, the house party invitation card for tonight,

The size is much smaller than Thailand’s one but it pluses a free coupon for redeeming adidas Originals party glasses.
But I was too lazy to go and get it, just keep a coupon with me instead.

I have found a food that I never had it anywhere. It is called Mala Tang (mala is some kind of Chinese chilli and tang means soup).

It is similar to our Kao Lao but the taste is very very hot and spicy even I didnt add more chili. Good for eating during winter definitely not in summer

STREETWEAR STORES IN SHANGHAI

Already 22 day time in Shanghai, have been around there quite several places to search and find somewhat called “streetwear” stores.

And here is the list for some of you coming here and have a problem of no idea where to get some street gears;

1. ACU
You know what they have for sell -Clot, Head Porter Plus, Whiz, Original Fake, Visvim (only shoes and accessories), Nike, and adidas Consortium. The best way to go there is by taxi. You find the address from their website, then tell the driver.

2. RMB
A resell shop, what they have is similar to conceptshop in HK. Just opposite ACU, cross the road and walk a bit. You will easily find it.

3. Less Mo
Same side with ACU, turn right in front of ACU and just keep walking straight around 5-10 minutes depends how fast you can walk. NH, Visvim, Bape, Fenom, and Play CDG are there! It is also resell shop.

4. GLOSS
A retail shop for many many brands I cant tell here, worth to go. I bought iDiom jacket here
Thank to the owner Ben for special discount. Located at G floor at the mall in Xintiandi. Get here by train at Huangpi Station.

5. Unity
Subcrew fans cant miss this. Walking distance from Gloss. This is a new location just moved from the old locaton.

6. Adfunture
Remember Hiroshi Fujiwara figure? This is a toy shop with some sneakers and brainchild apparel. Very near to Unity.

7. O-store Shanghai
In Sogo department store 4th floor. The biggest O-store in Shanghai. Get off at Jin’an Temple station.

8. Nike iD studio
Here you can make your own Nike iD (including NSW as well) with Shanghai exclusive material, hard to deny to not making a pair. A very big store consists of 2 floors by upstair is Nike stuff including AJs and downstair is a heaven for NSW fans. Get off at People Square Station.

9. 66 Plaza
It is a department store for luxury brands, which I.T. located here. You can find Comme Des Garcons and small corner of Visvim. You can walk from Sogo, but not really close. I warn you!

10. Source
A very very nice decorated shop. The most interesting I found is SARU brand. Others stuffs are Tsubi, Onitsuka Tigers, Volcom, Cheap Monday, and more. It is located same area with ACU. I dont remember where exactly is but you can find its address from google. Please note that the stuff might not be interested by hardcore hypebeasts but worth a visit to see how impression inside.

11. Fly
For skateboarding fans, a retail shop for DC, etnies, Nike SB, Dimond Supply some sort of that. One is not far from ACU, another one you might take a taxi from Sogo (around 11-14 RMB to get there). I will give tell you for the address later.

These are all I know for now. I am still looking for other shops else (if any) and update for you guys.

SHANGHAI, WTF!!!

Do not wonder why I disappear from bloging.
Now I am in Shanghai and have been trying to post my blog many times, but it didnt seem I could get access to wordpress.com at all.

After trying to solve this problem, I found out that wordpress.com is blocked here.

Not just wordpress, also flickr and hi5.
I beleive there are more websites that has been blocked as well.

For anyone who is wondering how come I could post this blog, becuz I am using a hiding proxy website.
However using this kind of web is very retared to blog cuz it takes you damn slower than 56K modem

Also all features like upload photos can not be used on those hiding websites.

I got some suggestions to pay for my own domain and find some Chinese weblog hosting but is it too ridiculous for me and my reader to change a blog hosting?

This is my cruel welcome from China!

If any of you know how I could overcome this problem, I am more than very happy to hear solutions from you all!

And I could post my blog like usual again.
